How Our Lead Generation System Works

This is the exact lead generation system we use to book hundreds of sales meetings for our clients every month: 

1) Email Infrastructure

The way our lead generation system works is through outbound email. 

This means we’re putting together a list of thousands of email addresses from your ideal clients and sending them a series of messages to convince them to jump on a call with you. 

It’s simple in theory… but not so much in practice. 

And that’s because the volume of emails we’re sending (tens of thousands) can easily catch the eye of our tech overlords (Google & Microsoft) who love to throw messages into the spam folder. 

Now of course what we’re sending our prospective clients is the furthest thing from spam. But that doesn’t stop email providers from putting our messages right next to the broke Nigerian princes and desperate Russian brides… 

And here’s the thing, if no one sees your emails, you can’t book calls with them. So the spam folder is a major problem. 

That’s why one of the most important parts of our lead generation system is making sure we don't end up there. And this is where most others trying to use outbound email fail.  

In order for our team to successfully skip the spam folder and actually reach your ideal client, we use a critical 4 step process:  

  1. We employ a horizontal scaling strategy using multiple email accounts and website domains. This ensures that a “normal” amount of emails are being sent from each inbox, avoiding spam filters. It looks like this:

2. We set up DMARC, SPF, and DKIM security records across each and every email account to verify their authenticity and boost their reputation in the eyes of the email providers.

3. We implement “spintax” across all our emails to create micro variations in each message to help them look more unique and human.  

4. We utilize custom software that simulates back and forth email exchanges to boost each inbox's reputation and comply with the strict standards of email providers. 

If this seems like a lot, it’s because it is. 

Most people trying to run an outbound email system screw this process up. And if you fumble any of these steps, even just a little bit, the whole thing doesn’t work. 

And as far as consequences go, the spam folder isn't even the worst case scenario. If you do the above wrong, email providers can ban your email accounts and put your entire company’s domain on a blacklist. That means everyone at your company will have their emails permanently go to spam. 

There’s a huge penalty if you’re an amateur and don’t do this correctly. 

And this whole process is made even more difficult by the fact that we’re always competing against the Googles and Microsofts of the world. They’re constantly upgrading their spam filters and making everything more complicated for us. 

It becomes crucial to stay multiple steps ahead of them. And that’s not easy to do, but fortunately our team has contacts at all the big email providers who give us the inside information we need to keep winning and keep getting results for our clients. 

2) Data Sourcing 

Once we establish your ideal client, we go to various data sources to collect their information, including their email addresses. 

There are two reasons this becomes tricky. 

First, data can be expensive. If you don’t have the right deals with the right people, you end up paying 10x more than you should be paying. That kills your ROI.  

Our team has contacts that get us data at wholesale prices. We’re able to download it at cost and pass those savings on to you. This vastly improves the total results you’ll see from our lead generation system. 

The second issue with data sourcing is that most data is bad. Data gets old quickly — people switch jobs, they retire, companies go bankrupt — and the fastest way to trigger spam filters and get the email providers on your back is to send messages to dead emails.

So not only do you need to get your data as cheaply as possible, but you need to make sure it’s accurate. Once again, you need to know the right people with the right sources. 

But even after procuring the healthiest data available on the market, we go a step beyond others and validate it even further. We take our data and submit it through our own dual-filter system. 

First we use a custom software to test each individual email address to make sure it’s active. And then we take those addresses and filter them again using our proprietary People Chip method. 

By the end of our data sourcing process, we get the cleanest data possible so that you’ll only be sending emails in the most cost-effective, efficient way with the lowest risk of triggering any spam filter. 

This massively increases the probability of getting meetings with qualified, ideal clients who are ready to purchase your services. It also greatly reduces the cost of the entire process.  

3) Crafting Your Emails 

Now that you have a list of ideal clients to reach out to, you need to write your email in a way that immediately catches their attention. 

No one has time to read a rambling story about how great your company is. Your email needs to be precise, relevant, and direct.
